Two retirements. Two incredible employees. One big celebration of inclusive employment.

Recently, we celebrated the retirements of two remarkable Holly Ridge Center clients—Becky and Meghan—along with two outstanding Kitsap inclusive employers who supported them throughout their employment journeys.

Becky’s Retirement – Trophy Lake Golf & Casting

In March, Becky celebrated her retirement at Trophy Lake Golf & Casting after an incredible decade of employment.

Brian Catalli, General Manager, shared: “All of us at Trophy Lake want to thank Becky for her many years of service. Becky became a true fixture here, and our members, guests, and team will all miss seeing her around. She did a fantastic job keeping the building clean and ready for each day’s guests to enjoy. Her hard work and friendly presence helped make Trophy Lake the welcoming place it is today. We wish Becky a very happy retirement and thank her for everything she has done. Enjoy this next chapter—you’ve earned it!”

Lynette, an Adult Employment Services Employment Consultant who worked with Becky from the beginning, added, “I started as a job coach with Becky about 10 years ago. When guests arrived for a day of golf, Becky’s big smile was their first welcome! She helped keep Trophy Lake running smoothly, and her grace and encouraging words will be missed by all.”

Meghan’s Retirement – Housing Resources Bainbridge

Meghan also recently celebrated her retirement from Housing Resources Bainbridge (HRB), where she worked in custodial services.

Jessica Campbell, HRB’s Rental Program Director, shared: “Meghan was always a joy—we all looked forward to Fridays (the day she worked). She lifted the whole vibe. Meghan was a friend, not just part of our staff, and she still has a standing invite for coffee.”

HRB created a Friday coffee ritual with Meghan, taking a short afternoon break to chat and have an enjoyable pick-me-up before returning to work.

Jessica added: “Meghan was always on time, didn’t call out sick, and was eager and excited to come to work.” Qualities, she notes, that are common with many supported employees she has worked with.

She also said,“Holly Ridge staff are always so dedicated, they are prompt, communicative, and deeply invested in their clients.”
