New Executive Director Named

We are thrilled to announce the selection of a new Executive Director to lead Holly Ridge Center. After an intentional search process, the Holly Ridge Center Board of Directors and Search Committee, welcomes Dedra Miller as the organization’s new Executive Director.

In her new role as Executive Director, Dedra Miller will be building off of her 9 year commitment to Holly Ridge Center. Dedra began at Holly Ridge Center in the accounting department, which provided a strong foundation and understanding of the business and financial side of the organization. Later, Dedra transitioned into a leadership role in Human Resources. Dedra has enjoyed recruiting and supporting the best and brightest professionals this community has to offer.

As Executive Director, Dedra is excited to use her strengths in strategic planning, advocating for the inclusion of all people, and community partnership building to lead Holly Ridge Center into the future.

Dedra was drawn to the mission of Holly Ridge Center from the start. She is committed to ensuring that all people are fully included in our community. She brings passion and professional experience. Dedra is a leader in advocacy work in our community.

Dedra will further agency efforts towards innovative programming and outcomes, best practices in our board administration, and corporate compliance. She is committed supporting the successful completion of our capital campaign and is thrilled to support and contribute to our growth in technology and data management.

Holly Ridge Center Community: Here is an update to our programs and how we are providing services to our community. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay tuned.

Infant Toddler Program:

Holly Ridge Center’s highest priority is to keep families and staff safe.  Kitsap County is currently in Phase -2 Safe Start.  Based on Early Support for Infant and Toddlers (ESIT) and the Department of Child Youth and Family Services guidelines, Holly Ridge Center is in Early Support for Infant and Toddlers Stage 1 – limited in person services for children with very specific needs that cannot be accommodated through virtual services such as zoom, this is about 2-4% of all the children we provide services for. Early Support for Infant and Toddlers highly recommends the use of virtual services to protect children, families, and staff.  Holly Ridge Center is currently working on a plan for expanded in-person services, however these visits are not permitted until the county is in Phase 3 as determined by Governor Inslee.  Read more information here.

Adult Employment Services: Adult Employment Services program is supporting their individuals based on their current employment status, goals and service needs.  For those needing support as they perform their essential personnel functions in public, we are practicing social distancing & stay healthy guidelines and for those self-isolating we are reaching out in various virtual forms.
