Early Intervention providing critical communication support
Holly Ridge Center Speech Language Pathologists use sign language as a method of communication with children experiencing speech delays, and Hudson’s use of sign language profoundly aided in his communication. “The signing was huge because I finally got to understand him” shared Sara Hubbell, mom of Hudson, who received services through Holly Ridge Center’s Birth to Three Early Intervention Program. Hudson has since passed on but the special impact he made on his family, friends, and Holly Ridge Center staff will be forever. Sara said “Huds was and still is a boy that has changed the world and changed me and changed my husband and anyone that has known him!”
